Great Remodels Start Behind the Walls
You’ve picked the cabinets, the tile and the fixtures. But what makes a remodel work every day is the electrical: outlets where you actually need them, lighting that fits the space, and enough circuits so the microwave and air fryer can run at the same time.
In older San Gabriel Valley homes, remodels often uncover outdated wiring, missing grounds or a panel that can’t handle new appliances. Planning the electrical early keeps your project on budget, avoids open walls sitting while you wait on fixes, and helps you pass inspection the first time.
At Pro Electric Services, owner Jack Yaacoubian handles electrical remodeling and home additions personally. He works with you, or with your general contractor, from rough-in to final inspection.

Washer and dryer circuits for moved or new laundry spaces, including 240V dryer circuits.
Open-Concept Remodels
We relocate outlets, switches, and fixtures when walls come down or move.
Panel & Wiring Upgrades
We upgrade your service or rewire outdated circuits while the walls are already open, the cheapest time to do it.
Permits and Code Compliance, Handled
Most remodels that touch electrical need a city permit and inspections at rough-in and final. California remodels must also meet the California Electrical Code and Title 24 energy rules. That includes high-efficacy lighting, required lighting controls, and AFCI/GFCI protection in specific rooms.
We pull the electrical permit, build to current code, and meet the inspector at each stage. That keeps your project moving and protects you when it’s time to sell or file an insurance claim.

Remodeling Electrical FAQs
When should I bring in an electrician on a remodel?
As early as possible, ideally during design. Outlet, lighting and appliance locations affect your layout, and a panel upgrade may need to be scheduled with the utility.
Do I need a permit for remodel electrical work?
In most cases, yes. We pull permits and handle rough-in and final inspections.
Will I need a panel upgrade for my kitchen remodel?
Sometimes. Induction cooktops, double ovens and extra circuits can exceed what an older 100-amp panel can handle. We’ll check with a load evaluation.
How many outlets does a kitchen need?
California code sets minimum spacing for countertop outlets and requires GFCI protection. We’ll lay them out to meet code and fit how you cook.
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes. We coordinate with your GC and other trades so electrical fits into the project schedule.
What happens if you find old wiring when the walls are open?
We’ll show you what we found, explain your options and give you a clear price before doing any extra work.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Every job comes with our 1-year workmanship guarantee.
