Level 2 EV
Charging Stations
A Level 2 charger can charge a vehicle 5 to 7 times faster than a standard outlet—but only if your electrical panel can actually support it. Jack checks that first, then installs chargers for all major EV brands, including Tesla, Rivian, Ford, and Chevy.

What You Can Actually Claim Right Now
Last verified September 1, 2026
Rebates for EV charging change often, and a couple of the ones still floating around the internet no longer apply. Here’s what’s actually true right now for customers in Glendora and the San Gabriel Valley.
The Federal Tax Credit Is Gone
The federal Section 30C tax credit for home EV charger installation expired on June 30, 2026, and Congress did not renew it. If you’ve seen “get 30% back, up to $1,000” mentioned anywhere—including on some other local electrician sites—that credit no longer exists.
Only chargers placed in service on or before June 30, 2026 qualified. None placed in service after that date do, regardless of when the work was contracted or paid for.
The Rebate That’s Actually Live: SCE Charge Ready Home
Southern California Edison’s Charge Ready Home program doesn’t pay for the charger itself—it reimburses the electrical work that makes a charger installation possible, which is often the bigger expense anyway.
WHAT IT COVERS
Panel upgrades (if your current panel is under 200 amps)
A dedicated 240-volt circuit and outlet
Wiring within 25 feet of your parking area
REBATE AMOUNTS DEPEND ON ELIGIBILITY
Up to $4,200 if your household is income-qualified — enrolled in a program like CalFresh, Medi-Cal or SSI, or earning below 80% of the area median income
Up to $2,100 if your home is in a designated disadvantaged community under the state’s SB535 map
The program requires a licensed electrical contractor to do the work—no DIY installs qualify—so Jack can handle the panel and wiring work the rebate covers and the charger installation itself in the same visit.
Not sure which tier applies to you, or whether your panel even needs the upgrade this program covers? Ask when you call—Jack can tell you before any work starts, and before you apply for anything.
